Ericksen Roed and Associates, Inc. is a full service structural engineering firm, with one office located in St. Paul, Minnesota and a satellite office in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The firm was founded in 1984 and presently has a total staff of 60 people.

Ericksen Roed and Associates, Inc. has provided structural engineering services for a broad range of building types. Our experience includes, retail, industrial, government and educational buildings, aircraft hangers, churches, high-rise offices, multi-unit residential, sports and recreational complexes, research and laboratory facilities, parking structures and detention facilities. We specialize in the design of precast concrete structures, long-span structures, aircraft engine test facilities and dynamically loaded structures. We also conduct investigations of building failures and analysis of existing structures in connection with prospective additions, repairs and restorations.

We have provided structural engineering services for projects with construction costs ranging from a few thousand dollars to in excess of 100 million dollars. Notable projects include the Target Center (19,000 seats for basketball), Piper Jaffray Center (1,150,000 square foot building with underground parking), IDS Operations Center (512,000 square foot computer facility), U.S. West Buildings (restorations), the Minneapolis Federal Courthouse (450,000 square foot courthouse with 250,000 square foot underground parking facility), River Bend Commons at the University of Minnesota (seven level underground parking facility with an eight level dormitory above) and The New Guthrie Theater (250,000 square foot three-theater complex with 1,000 car parking structure adjacent).
